"Heathenism is a
state of mind. You can take it that I'm referring to one who does not see his
world. He has no mental light. He destroys almost unwittingly. He cannot feel
any Gods presence in his life. He is the 21st century man."

Thank God men cannot fly, and lay waste the sky as well as the earth. ~Henry David Thoreau
The great thing about celebrity
culture is that they can't seem to stop themselves from displaying their
ridiculous behaviour. I feel it's my job as a serious investigative journalist
to witness all kinds of behaviour and then report back to the audience through
the prism of my own anger and bitterness.

I think it's impossible for any of
us not to find television, and the political process at its best on television,
compelling.

Vladimir Nabokov said the two great
evils of the 20th century were Marx and Freud. He was absolutely correct.

"Halloween is a liberal holiday because we're
teaching our children to beg for something for free. … We're teaching kids to knock
on other people's doors and ask for a handout." —Fox News host Sean
Hannity (October 31, 2007)
"I must confess, that a man is guilty of
unpardonable arrogance, who concludes, because an argument has escaped his own
investigation, that therefore it does not really exist." --David Hume (An
Enquiry Concerning Human Understanding, p.25 Hackett Publishing, 1993)
Darkness cannot drive out darkness;
only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.

"This president I think has exposed himself over
and over again as a guy who has a deep-seated hatred for white people or the
white culture....I'm not saying he doesn't like white people, I'm saying he has
a problem. This guy is, I believe, a racist." –Glenn Beck on President
Obama, from his FOX News show, July 28, 2009

There's so
much pollution in the air now that if it weren't for our lungs there'd be no
place to put it all. ~Robert Orben
"The America I know and love is not one in which
my parents or my baby with Down Syndrome will have to stand in front of Obama's
'death panel' so his bureaucrats can decide, based on a subjective judgment of
their 'level of productivity in society,' whether they are worthy of health
care. Such a system is downright evil." –-Sarah Palin, in a message posted
on Facebook about Obama's health care plan, Aug. 7, 2009
During my service in the United States Congress, I
took the initiative in creating the Internet. -- Al Gore
I propose a limitation be put on how many sqares [sic]
of toilet paper can be used in any one sitting. Now, I don’t want to rob any
law-abiding American of his or her God-given rights, but I think we are an
industrious enough people that we can make it work with only one square per
restroom visit, except, of course, on those pesky occasions where 2 to 3 could
be required. -- Sheryl Crow at the Huffington Post
I am against religion because it

absolutes.

Man, I just feel blessed... I was in
a situation where the only way I could come out of it was by putting my faith
in God. No matter how good my lawyers were, no matter how much celebrity I had,
everything was just stacked up against me.

peace as the absence of conflict. I define peace as the ability to defend
yourself and blow your enemies into smithereens." —Fox News host Sean

package 500 million Americans lose their jobs. -- Nancy Pelosi
When too many Americans don't vote
or participate, some see apathy and despair. I see disappointment and even
outrage. And I believe that out of this frustration can come hope and action.

have an influence on this presidential election. That is scary, but it’s true.
You’ve got stoned slackers watching your dopey show every night and they can
vote." –Bill O'Reilly to "Daily Show" host Jon Stewart, Sept.

I have a great love and respect for religion,

Solipsism (i/ˈsɒlɨpsɪzəm/; from Latin
solus, meaning "alone", and ipse, meaning
"self") is the philosophical idea that only one's own mind is sure to exist.
As an epistemological
position, solipsism holds that knowledge of anything outside one's own mind is unsure. The
external world and other minds cannot be known, and might not
exist outside the mind. As a metaphysical position, solipsism goes further to the
conclusion that the world and other minds do not exist. As such it is the only
epistemological position that, by its own postulate,
is both irrefutable and yet indefensible in the same
manner. --Wikipedia.org
